Claregolf uses the information it collects primarily to understand your needs, provide you with membership services, to seek to better the Online Services, and deliver the specific service or information you have requested.

1. administer the Online Services;
2. improve your browsing experience by personalising the Online Services;
3. enable your use of the services available on the Online Services;
4. send you email notifications which you have specifically requested;
5. send to you our newsletter and other marketing communications relating to our business or the businesses of carefully selected third parties which we think may be of interest to you by email or similar technology (you can inform us at any time if you no longer require marketing communications);
6. deal with enquiries and complaints made by or about you relating to the Online Services;
7. Identify players who may be candidates to participate in various Claregolf teams.
8. for research about our members’ and subscribers’ behaviour and our services generally, and to report to bodies such as Sport Ireland; and
9. We will not without your express consent provide your personal information to any third parties for the purpose of direct marketing.

1. Competition organisers and officials involved in competitions in which you take part.
2. carefully selected third parties which supply us with products and services, such as website and platform developers and cloud computing services, or other suppliers engaged by us to fulfil our services to you. We will only share your information with these suppliers where it is necessary for them to provide us with the services we need;
3. our professional advisors (including without limitation tax, legal or other corporate advisors who provide professional services to us);

We collect personal data about you when you

1. use our Online Services; and
2. submit scores; and
3. participate in competitions that we organise; and

Where is your personal data stored?

Your personal data will be stored and processed in Ireland and / or the European Economic Area. Your data may be transferred to the UK, or New Zealand, both are countries that the European Commission has deemed to provide an adequate level of data protection.

How long will we keep your data?

We will retain your data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in section 2 above “Using your personal information?”. This means that we will keep your personal data for the duration of your Claregolf membership and for a period of time following your membership or subscription ceasing. When determining the relevant retention periods, we consider guidelines issued by relevant data protection authorities, as well as the time periods needed to comply with applicable regulations or laws, to meet regulatory and financial reporting obligations, for tax, accounting and audit purposes, and to fulfil and protect our contractual obligations and rights. We may retain, indefinitely, certain personal data for archiving or statistical purposes. Where we do so we will ensure adequate security and safeguarding measures are in place.

Claregolf does not use ‘cookie; information collection technology.

Our website/app may contain links, banners or advertisements to other websites.  When you click on such links, banners or advertisements, the privacy policy of the websites/apps to which you are linked to will govern the use of your information collected on such sites/apps.  Claregolf does not have access to or control over any technologies or practices that may be used by a third party.

This privacy policy applies solely to the information collected by Claregolf.  We encourage our users to read the privacy statement of each and every website after leaving our website through such links/banners to establish how such third-party organisations use your information.

Children

Children should not provide any personal information (including name, email address, phone number or any other information that others could contact them directly) without verifiable parental consent.  Claregolf does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18 or knowingly allow such persons to register for any of our services. Consent forms are available on request to Golf Ireland below.

In the event that Golf Ireland learns that personal information has been collected without verification of parental consent, the information will be deleted as soon as possible.

Disclosures

We may disclose information about you to any of our employees, officers, as reasonably necessary for the purposes as set out in this privacy policy.

In addition, we may disclose your personal information:

1. To the extent that we are required to do so by law;

3. In order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights Except as provided in this privacy policy, we will not provide your information to third parties.

Security of your personal information

We will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information.  Data transmission over the internet is inherently insecure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet.We will store all the personal information you provide on our secure (password- and firewall- protected) servers.

You are responsible for keeping your password and user details confidential. We will not ask you for your password.

Individual Rights
